Folds up like a yoga mat, perfect for on the go. I couldn't get my dog to get off it so I could roll it up to take pictures of the roll, but there are two elastic straps attached to the bed which make it very easy to secure when rolled up. The bed is a bit smaller than the one I usually use for him, but he seems quite content with having most of his body on it and uses it often. Can't tell if it chills him or not but it's his second place when he comes out of the heat, first is the bathroom floor. He chooses this mat before deciding on any other dog bed. The mat is well made - the seams look good, there are no protruding seams and most importantly nothing is sticking out for the dog to chew or tug on. The mat is very lightweight making it ideal for when you are out with your pup. Carrying it to a hotel room or renting it is much more convenient than a large dog bed. It's also much easier to clean than a traditional dog. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase - just wish they'd made a bigger one (or honestly wish my dog was a little smaller).
