The stand supports the ps5 upright surprisingly well, while the ps5 stand is small and less supportive. All my games are (even in a steel case) close to each other. I really like that it comes with a headset holder but wish it was sturdier. It literally just hangs on the PS5 sidebar but does what I need it to. It sucks that the stand eats up both rear USB ports and I can't charge the headset while it's hanging. You'll need to connect another power source to charge the headset, but I've looked at PS5 expansion USB hubs. Steelseries stupid USB-C key is blocking the front USB-A port. When I was done playing, I put the PS5 to sleep and charged the controller. It's always full the next day. Warning, the document is powered by the PS5's USB ports, so you can't turn off the PS5 and expect it to charge the controllers. PS5 also has a setting for when to turn off USB ports in sleep mode, so be sure to check that setting. Now on to the touchy subject - the fan. I've read so many other reviews that the extra airflow interferes with the airflow designed for the PS5 and causes issues I barely noticed on this stand. Eventually I found a breakdown that shows the fan is at the top in the front and blows from the rear. There's not much electronics on the underside, so the PS5 blows very little, if any, here (helped by the fact that the PS5 stand is a solid piece that blocks all airflow). When trying out the fan on the stand, I noticed that it sucks air and blows it into the PS5. Not sure if this helps, hurts or doesn't do anything, but the fan has 3 speeds and an off setting. I chose to leave the fan off and really appreciate being able to adjust the fan. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase. Fits great, holds all my PS5 related items and frees up shelf space. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this product is that the user didn't have vertical space to use it.
