Bought these for our 7 month old girl and it would be nice to have something soft under baby to allow her to move freely rather than padding her body hurt. . The cushion, colors, numbers and letters are fine, but the product has an odor that doesn't seem to go away even after a few days outdoors. Another problem was that the numbers and letters came out of the foam and some of the pieces were so small that she could choke on them. I can't do anything about the smell although I can return the item as my daughter disassembles small pieces. in her mouth and I'm afraid of chemicals that might come out of what she's consuming. To mitigate this, I have to keep a close eye on all the small parts and remove them so she can't get them. I'm not sure if all items of this type will have this chemical smell, but children will be harmed by this smell for a long time. I even hate the smell of the material. They also contain no hems, leaving the edges open. Some other manufacturers include these tips so you can create a closed edge that looks better. I would not recommend this due to the odor and the small bits coming out of the foam causing a choking hazard.
