Review on Melissa Doug Puzzle Wooden Effects by Brian Martin

I bought this for my 19 month old granddaughter because she loves animals, I love all the Melissa and Doug toys because they are well made and priced right. I read some reviews of the puzzle before buying it and almost didn't buy it because some of the reviews said the puzzle was possessed and only triggered at random times, or sometimes the animals didn't. sound generic. However, having previously bought a few of their items for my grandkids, I went ahead and bought them, they arrived and worked great, and then they didn't. I called the number listed on the back of the puzzle and I have to say the customer service is amazing at figuring out that each piece is light sensitive and when you play with this in a normally lit room it works great , my granddaughter's bedroom is dark at night but there is a night light. So if the puzzle has no pieces and you go inside and turn on the light, the animals will make noises because the sensor on the puzzle piece is sensitive bright. We now have a puzzle in the living room along with most of their other toys and have had no problems since. When I spoke to a customer service rep, he said they are using this feedback to potentially have that information on the package. I'm glad I bought this puzzle and called customer service before writing my review as I know that reading product reviews can sometimes influence a person's purchase when all it takes is a call to customer service from whom I know it takes time but I would rather give a good rating on a good product than a bad or mediocre rating on a good product because I didn't call. I definitely plan to buy more of these puzzles.
