I confess I thought it was an induction hob, but there are slots for each individual controller, although that was my misunderstanding. Once plugged in all the batteries were connected to the Wii remotes, we plugged them in to charge and one battery wouldn't charge and we have no idea why. The three that attacked were consumed and died within an hour and a half of the game. Needless to say I will be calling Memorex today to see what my options are as my son has already thrown away the packaging. I would never recommend this item.
