Doesn't overheat. It serves my purpose of warming my feet.
Works great for me, I don't use massage/vibration mode. This gives me enough warmth as I didn't want my feet to be hot, I wanted them to be comfortably warm. Some may need a warmer temperature, but there's no choice.
