This case and multi-hub is a great deal for those of us with limited ports. Newer PCs and mobile devices are lighter, thinner, and not as well-equipped as their counterparts a few years ago. Fewer USB ports, no LAN ports, no optical drives and finally no memory card readers. Internally, a single drive is becoming the norm, and in many cases a major operation is required to upgrade a hard drive. The simplest solution is a USB C NVME drive. You don't have to spend big bucks for the latest, best, and fastest drive. USB C only supports 900-1000 megabytes per second in real use. It's a waste of money for a performance you'll never see. So who really needs one of these? Those with limited storage space on their PC or those who do not have an NVME M.2 slot on their device and those who lack the expansion ports provided on this hub. This external drive is much faster than internal SATA3 SSDs. In my experience, the drive needs to be initialized and formatted prior to installation, and depending on the drive, a firmware update may be required. The seller was very helpful in this and helped me to solve my problems. I have multiple drives in this hub, but I'm not going to run them all at the same time. I use the USB-C power connector to power attached devices, but I wouldn't recommend powering drives from standard connectors. This thing is great for carrying around your gaming library as well as your work.
