I spent $200 on eight pairs of these Darn Tough style socks. My husband has worn them for YEARS. Haven't had to change yet. I put it in the wash and then dry it. I don't babysit her. These are socks, and if they are NOT EASY to wash, they don't fit me. These socks are easy to care for. Fits perfectly. The husband wears 10 2E shoes and has thin legs. I bought XL socks for him. You are perfect! My only complaint is not being able to buy these socks for my son who lives in Alaska. He wears size 10 5E shoes and has big feet. I have contacted the company. They have very good customer service. But they don't fit his feet. They have longer socks but not wider socks. Because these socks have a snug heel, longer socks just don't fit. A friend who also has wide feet has the same problem buying socks. A friend said that these socks are too long on the foot if they are big enough on the calves. Men with wide/thick legs usually need to buy socks. Normal socks do not fit the calf. I haven't found any brand of hiking socks that fit these guys. These socks are perfect if your size matches what they sell. But if you have very wide feet and thick legs, Darn Tough will not suit you.
