Exactly like the one it replaced.

Unfortunately, Briggs and Stratton just designed this part poorly. The engine I needed the part for is less than a year old. It is mounted on a log splitter and gets used only once a month on average. Aside from the recoil spring, the recoil pull start assembly is made of plastic that just isn't strong enough. The original part broke in less than a year. The replacement part broke the third time I started my log splitter. Frankly, if cheap plastic parts are the best quality B&S can offer, it may be time to look at other options.
