Review on KUTTER Brush Wash Cleaner Renewer 32 Ounce by Marcus Cross

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not impressed yet

We usually clean our brushes pretty well when we're done, but they need the help of a good brush cleaner from time to time. I used another brand from a big store for about $9 a can, so I was very happy to see something cheaper. Unfortunately what we got is cheaper. After a day of painting I gave the brushes a thorough wash - a bucket of soap and hot water (repeat if needed) followed by a rinse. Then I hand wash them again using a small brass wire brush and dye comb to clean hard to reach areas. One of the brushes had some stubborn stains so I decided to use the Krud Kutter Cleaner to see what would happen. Since we finished painting over the weekend, I let the brush soak overnight (about 14 hours total) and brushed it off. that's about a couple of times in that period. When I took it out I expected it to be pretty clean. Instead, it was about the same as it was when I put it there. The wire brush helped loosen up some of the stains, but overall I was disappointed. Another brand of cleaner I've used was much worse in less time. I think I expected more. I bought several bottles (overly optimistic I think!) so will definitely try again. If anything changes I will update!
