The skirt looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The lace-up detail is really just a decorative element, doesn't actually keep the skirt closed. The buttons are also just for decoration, which honestly is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. The skirt, for my body, was a little hard to get over my hips, which would have been really easy to avoid if the buttons or lace up details were functional, but once it was on the skirt looks amazing. The lining is a little weird. it's just short of where i would like it to fall but it fits well enough. The skirt isn't see-through because of the lining.I can definitely dress up the skirt or dress it down. The waist is elastic so I can wear it even if I lose weight. Very much in love with it.Ordered a Large. Typically wear a size 12/30 in denim.
