Bought this unit after waiting a few months for the model with app to be back in stock. What a waste of time and money. The app is useless, you can't sign up without calling Aloaire and asking her to activate it. If you forget your password, it will never be sent to you to call again. Once you're finally able to activate the app, you'll try to follow the instructions that come in the box and they're utterly useless. I have provided a link to a YouTube video showing how to connect the app which is totally different from the instructions that came with it and was completely confusing and when followed it still fails to connect to the device. There was money! I would rather let the Candy Crush app control the device. The pump also has a flush that doesn't work. I rinsed the unit several times to empty it for return and it still had about 2 cups of water in it which spilled everywhere when packing. There is no way to manually drain the unit or just tip it on its side and it will flow out. Another malfunction: the water chamber isn't properly closed and will spurt out water if knocked over at all. I suggest you try another manufacturer that doesn't hire a Chinese company to develop the device and app. I used a dehumidifier I bought at the store for about $250 6 years ago and it works much better, also I had this unit at 30% (winter) and it never went below 32%. My house is less than 2600 square feet. feet and I use it in the basement.
