I think most of these reviews are invalid. Because of the writing style and the repetition of certain words in many of the five star reviews, I believe they were written by the same person. Constantly saying how versatile it is and that they have a quality product that's as good as if it were glass. As easily as the lid slips off, I don't know how that can keep all those cakes and breads that the five-star reviewer brags about fresh. Who could wear this thing to picnics or parties as has been said? Is the lid even closed? Well, I figured I'd order a glass cake stand, not a flimsy plastic one. The lid slides with the slightest provocation. Not at all what I thought I would have ordered. If you're looking for a quality cake stand, keep looking.
