Expensive but worth it
Not only will you save a few ounces by carrying 6-8 of these stakes, but you will drive them into the ground with a lot less effort than larger diameter stakes hard ground that you will have trouble getting the big aluminum stakes in, maybe even bending them by hand, they go in easily. They're pretty thin, though, and can hurt your palm if you squeeze them - use a piece of hard wood or rock to squeeze them and they'll go right in. I've already bought a few dozen and will buy more if I get a loan from the bank.
