Review on 🚗 Enhance Your Nissan Pathfinder/Frontier's Dash with Metra 99-7581 Dashkit by Andrew Schobinger

I should have read the reviews before buying this item. I have used Metra adapters and harnesses in the past and have always been satisfied, but this one does not fit as a kit for double din head units. It looks like it would be nice to install a single din radio in a Nissan Pathfinder factory double din dash but no use for the double din Pioneer stereo I bought. The only part in the double din kit is the bezel and I didn't even get to use it. I had to modify and reuse the stock brackets and the radio was only slightly longer than the stock unit, but in order to use the bezel the main unit had to be positioned too low in the dash for the length of the radio chassis. To let. The back of the radio hit the structure about 1/2 before the brackets reached their attachment points. There is no joy. I had to send these back. I think Metra needs to develop a separate kit for the two din radios in these cars, with a bezel that allows you to adjust the depth for the stereo installation position.
