The good news is that this bar is easy to install and strong enough to hold a bundle of clothes. The bad news is that it is impossible to prevent the stem from falling off while riding. I dropped the clothes twice and threw them away. I really wanted to attach it to the coat hooks like others have suggested as it defeats the purpose of an item to be carried and prevents the back seat from being used for any other reason.
