Installation went smoothly. We laid about 1300 feet of wire, just under 2 acres. Be sure to follow all instructions regarding corner radius etc. However, YardMax mode often crashes on corners, allowing you to escape. It just wasn't consistent enough. The traditional mode is very consistent, but when the dog walks past the fence, it doesn't self-correct if it's more than 10 feet or so behind the wire. (That's why we wanted YardMax mode). Maybe it's because of our large garden size? The literature says that by then one should be able to handle much larger shipyards, but in practice that is simply not the case.
