Slightly disappointing

This might be good for weekend camping but I don't use a tent for that. I work on wildfires and my tent is my home for weeks, so to be honest my standards for a tent are pretty high. I originally ordered this tent because it looked like it had enough room to stand up, and it did. However, the door is quite low and narrow - you need to be a hobbit or a yoga teacher to get through. As I tried to get out, my foot caught the bottom of the door and one of the peg loops came loose from the tent. Speaking of tent pegs, the ones that come with them suck - I bent three of them when I set it up in the yard and that was BEFORE I got the hammer. (They're those flimsy aluminum tents.) I wouldn't use this tent without the grounding sheet either. My garden is a bit dry, but it's not like the woods, and I still have a few stems sticking up through the ground. Nice design and quite spacious inside. The B-pillar goes through the top, which is a bit of a concern - water will find its way in very heavy rain. And that path will likely flow down the B-pillar. I could order a similar tent. another manufacturer, but I can't recommend this one. There are too many weaknesses in the materials used and the design of the tent. If he fails the put it in the yard test, I certainly won't try to live with him in a fire camp.
