Great, but how do you clean them?

These moldings fit our basement stairs perfectly - the stairs are painted a high gloss enamel paint which is very durable but can be slippery when wet or wet - I just cleaned the step thoroughly and then hand taped the moldings on the stairs. They have been on the basement stairs for 3 months with no problems but now they are full of lint/down/cat hair and need cleaning. Has anyone found a way to easily clean these strips? Thanks in advance!
