When I opened these up I thought there was no way I would be comfortable in the summer in these and I even wondered if I could get my foot in my summer mountain bike shoes. Well, my feet fit in the shoes and they did not get too hot on 3 hour ride at 85 degrees F. Actually they felt pretty darn nice and cushioned.Then I thought I better test out the waterproof feature. I filled the bathtub to 2 inches deep and stepped in. I walked around in the tub for over 2 minutes. I stepped out onto a towel. I wiped the surface water off. Then I sat down and took the socks off. My feet were completely dry. Now I must admit that I have not washed these yet. I will report back after several washings.They came with a very nice storage bag also.I would like to find some taller and warmer ones for winter also!
