Edit [11/4/19]: still great! Using a 3" chisel to remove an old lime mortar shower pan and wall frame made from ugly old tiles. Then, after cutting large rectangular holes in the underlying slab to access old cast iron gutters that needed replacing, I used Eneacro with narrow bits to break the concrete into the right size pieces. I'm so glad I bought this! Unfortunately I ran out of lube and although the hammer still works, no one from Eneacro has yet answered my question about which lube to use! I bought it a little over a month ago and the hammer function just stopped working. I was ready to get frustrated, but then I figured that although I hadn't used it for as many hours as they said before, it would need some lube added, I'd give it a try. I squeezed just over half the tube into the hole at the top (good thing they included lube and a tool to remove the cap). I then fired the drill without attempting to hammer or drill anything for thirty seconds. The chisel vibrated slightly on re-entry, but after a few seconds the old sound of a powerful hammer returned and the chisel worked again! I know someone at the company has read these reviews so I hope they respond with information. about what lube to use when it runs out, which I'll be doing sooner than I thought. I'm so glad the hammer stopped working due to lack of lubrication having done so much with this tool in the month I've had it. Shroud strips with Tapcon screws (2x3 around the edge to accommodate a 2" polyisocyanurate insulation board). I bought a 3/16" SDS-Plus bit from Bosch to guide the screws. MUCH faster than my 18 year old Makita masonry drill bit, which started yelling at me. I then used it to knock away uneven concrete. Me had to be careful because he wanted to pick up more material than I had to get rid of.I ordered a 3" x 10" straight chisel from another manufacturer for a quick get at the glued linoleum.I haven't done the job yet , but I also knew a wider blade would offer more control when chipping high points in concrete Pressure treated floor panels over 30 year old concrete This was the job that probably killed my hammer drill over the years and also took a ton of time to complete to drill every hole Real test of the hammer I bought to replace Makita what a dream! ENEACRO had every hole to full depth almost immediately and because it was so fast the heated up Unfortunately, drills do not, like beats in Makita. These bits should last a lot longer because they stay relatively cool. I then used this new chisel to dig a trench through hardened mud and sandstone rock to run a drain pipe to drain water from my foundation. Wow! The work has become much easier. than a shovel and gave me a lot more control than a pickaxe. I would make sure to loosen the soil right where I wanted the trench to be. A narrower chisel would just dig in and I would spend all my time pulling the chisel out of the hole, but this was perfect. Any wider point in this ground and I would be better off with a full size SDS-Max breaker which was good because I couldn't find a wider point in the SDS-Plus. After that, I used both the narrow chisel that came with the rock drill and the 3" chisel I bought separately to break up 5 1/2 CMUs that were filled with concrete rather than regular mortar. Some of them had rebar installed, so I also used my 12 inch diamond blade concrete saw. The hammer allowed me to separate the CMU from the poured concrete laid behind the blocks without gouging it, which was my goal. The saw cuts through everything about 4" deep and I had to go 8" so the chisel was essential. At the end of this work, the hammer function wasn't working as well as it used to, and I thought maybe it was just because the car was hot. The solution was as described in my first paragraph above. I recently made a 4" round hole in an uncemented CMU to run a dryer vent through the wall. The smaller chisel did the job almost perfectly, so I used a bit of hand chiseling to get the hole almost perfectly in to fit the 4" duct, and very little room for sealant! I haven't made the outer hole yet (it's raining there!), I just made a small one hole in the middle where the 4" hole should be inside so that it's easy to find the hole from the outside when the rain stops. If, like me, you've suffered for years from the shortcomings of even a powerful rock drill, do yourself a huge favor and get one get yourself a rock drill ENEACRO This is an amazing purchase of a powerful tool!
