I recently bought a new iMac with Lightning connectors on the back. On my previous computer I had a 23" Apple Cinema Monitor with a silver frame. My goal was to use it as a second monitor for my new iMac. Even the people at the Apple Store told me it was impossible. Then one of them said told them it might work if I bought adapters to drive. Two adapters are $80 at the apple store.I went to Revain and found an adapter with a DVI female connector on one end and a male Thunderbolt connector on the other end for about $14 It worked great I had to plug in a USB cable to send part of the signal to the monitor but now I'm working for just $14 The quality of the connector seems good.
