As we know, Ryzen can really take advantage of high-speed RAM. The downside to this is that it's very picky about the choice of RAM. I struggled a bit with this after buying RAM from Corsair, so I did a little research and found that the G. Skill Trident Z works best. I bought and installed this set. And all my problems are gone. I was able to overclock to 3200 with no issues. It was a simple XMP profile setup. Here is my build: - Ryzen 7 2700X - MSI X470 Gaming Pro - Crucial MX500 SSD - Gigabyte GTX 1060 - 6GB - 2x8 DDR4 G. Skill TridentZ RGB I love performance! RGB is just a great bonus. Update: I docked a run because the "lightin service" that manages the RGB on it is taking 2% of my CPU load. I have a brand new high-performance processor and am supposed to consume a lot with it. I hope this gets fixed in a software update.
