Review on Aleader Minimalist Barefoot Running Shoes with Separate Toes by Nick Walker

Great Shoes for the Price

Want to get minimalist shoes but don't pay more than $100? These shoes will serve you well. They are lightweight, have a wide toxin box, no heel, and a flexible outsole. Note that while the shoe itself does not have heel lift or arch support, the removable insole works: approximately 3mm heel lift and 5mm arch support. It does not matter; Most men's shoes have a heel height of 12-18 mm, so the increase of 3 mm is hardly noticeable. The insole is removable if that doesn't fit you, but note that if you do remove the insole, you should purchase a size down. I personally like the cushioning that the insole offers. This shoe is not as ugly as it looks in the pictures! The gray model with orange highlights looks quite nice. The toe protection is not so visible from above. Besides, they're a great idea. This shoe has a low stack height which means you are at a higher risk of stubbing your toe on a rock or similar. The shoes are comfortable. Because of the cushioning, the insole wears well when your feet get tired, but since it doesn't pinch your toes or lift your heel, it won't ruin your feet. The tread pattern allows me to take it almost anywhere, on and off the road. I wear them with correct toes. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wet grip is just terrible. I took it on wet rocks and slipped everywhere. This is unfortunate because the shoe is marketed as a no-slip trail running shoe; I think I have to pay if I want a shoe with good traction on a hike. However, this shoe is good for the gym, casual shoes, light hiking shoes or travel shoes. It doesn't ventilate as well as some of the other shoes I have so gets uncomfortable in the summer heat. I still think it's ok for the price, but if you plan on hiking any time of the year, maybe look elsewhere. This works best as a moderate shoe.
