How did I survive 60 years without one of them?

This is one of those small and relatively inexpensive gadgets that has had a huge impact on my comfort and well-being. None of us are fans of ultra-cold AC settings. We prefer 80, maximum 79 degrees. Anything lower and my joints start to ache and my nails turn blue. We have fans and dehumidifiers. My biggest problem on the east coast is the terrible humidity. This makes me feel terribly unhappy and I start suffering from heat rash. Yesterday when unpacking I accidentally pressed the power button and immediately put it around my neck. I will order the same. I prefer this closed style to others, that look like mini fans - I bought one of these last year. This allows the round (fan) part to lay flat as you see in the picture. and I get plenty of air in my face to keep me cool and dry. The other style needs a lot of tweaking until I can get the wind exactly where I want it. I also don't have to worry about my hair accidentally getting tangled in it. If you live in disgusting humidity, neck fans are a lifesaver. I even fell asleep with it around my neck last night. No, he didn't work all night. Of course he was eventually released. It's very durable, lightweight and you don't have to worry about blocking particles from getting into the small blowers. set low enough, everyone who gets hot flashes, someone who wants to save some money on their cooling bills, and it helps a lot when you have to work outside in the car in the heat and humidity. The charge lasts for several hours on low settings, which is what I use most of the time. I can still hear the TV or the person on the other phone. It gets uncomfortably loud on medium to high settings, but low settings are crisp enough for me. With the second, I never see myself running out of cool breeze, one around my neck and the other around my neck. Charger, swap and repeat.
