I bought this because I wanted to look a little more fitted under a very fitted polyester golf shirt. I also bought a medium-sized black V-neck for a medium-sized golf shirt. I'm 6ft 2in and 186lbs with some sagging especially on the sides. While not Spanx in weight or control (and nowhere near Spanx in price), it did a "pretty good" job. smooth out some bumps and remind you of proper posture. It seems to absorb moisture well. Not sure why I'd wear this over a decent cotton t-shirt to the gym (I don't dress up in front of mirrors), but it's a good choice for outings.
