Poor design and inferior materials make this backpack a terrible product

I'm surprised by the positive response this set has received. This is a poorly designed backpack that uses cheap materials. Here's a quick rundown of the pros and cons of this item: Cons: 1. No drinking tube clamp. This backpack only has a thin plastic/fabric loop at the top of the shoulder straps, through which you can thread a drinking tube. This means the tube will bounce and dangle as you run as it cannot be attached to the shoulder harness. Almost every other pack in this price range comes with a hose holder; again bad design.2. Buckles for chest and hip belts are cheaply made and easily break, snap and fall apart.3. The plastic spout is over 3 inches long! This means you need to extend the drinking tube past your hips to get the correct curvature of the tube for drinking. Otherwise the hose will break when you try to bend it. to your mouth and you won't get any water out. Why on earth is the spout so long?!? If there was a built in filter I can understand why but it's just another bad design. 4. The separate insulated bag that comes with this item is a great addition, but there is no slot in the top of the bag for a hydration tube if you want to store your bladder in it to keep the water cold. Packing and locking the bag is difficult and annoying 5. The material of this bag is very cheap! It reminds me of a cheap backpack I had as a kid going to school. Part of a good backpack is that it looks like it is made of good material which is not included in this package.6. There is only one color to choose from :( Pros: 1. Plenty of room to store your stuff (keys, phone, wallet etc.). I also like that the smaller phone pocket has headphone pockets. The hydration bladder is well made and so is the hydration tube connection I think that's the strongest feature of this pack. It feels well made and I'm confident that it can take a beating and work as intended. Overall this is a pack to skip, it's ugly, inefficient and poorly designed There are better packages on the market for a similar price.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
