This thing is great, 4 lb head with 16 inch handle is perfect. I'm a tractor-trailer mechanic and I find that 4 pounds is enough to hit things without exhausting yourself and the 16" crank is perfect for getting that leverage when you need it for a good hard hit . The steel bar is also ideal for such shots, you will not damage the bar directly on the head. I liked this hammer so much in my shop that 2 other people bought it.
