Review on 🎧 Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones (No Longer Sold by Manufacturer) by Michael Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

can't live without.

What can I say, my heart sank when I realized I had forgotten my QC3 headphones in an airplane bag a few months ago. The upcoming flight to Asia was fine, wait two weeks to see if they show up in L&F and then if they don't find them what should I do. Two weeks later, and with no luck (of course), I bit the bullet and added another $300 to Bose's bank account. There really is no alternative, many years ago I tried cheap ($75) active noise canceling which was useless and then not so cheap ($150 range) passive noise canceling in-ears which were terribly uncomfortable and didn't last until the end in my ears has not reached nirvana with the Bose QC3. One caveat I should mention is that I will not play music through anything called Bose. In my opinion, music and Bose are an oxymoron. For music I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT880, so headphones for music. No, my QC3s are for noise reduction and voice transmission (like in movies, audio books and podcasts). I also agree with some other posts that the headphones have a feeling of pressure and you don't play anything through the headphones. I can handle it, but it's not that comfortable. After all, I don't care that I can't use my headphones when they're turned off. The battery is more than enough for a 13-hour flight across the Pacific Ocean. This was my first flight on a Boeing 777 and the plane is just as noisy at altitude as a Boeing 737, luckily I had my own QC3s. In short, I love these headphones for my usage model. It's really five stars for how the QC3 suits my use, not because they're the best headphones in the world.

  • Easy to use
Cons
