Review on Macally 2.4G USB Wireless Keyboard for Laptop or Computer - Full Size Keyboard with Numeric Keypad & 13 Shortcut Keys - Windows Devices - Easy to Use PC Keyboard Wireless by James Maruffo

Looks like a regular keyboard but with disappointing specs

The Macally keyboard arrived today. It's thin, light, attractive. However, at $20 I wasn't expecting much, and I'm comparing it to a similarly equipped Logitech keyboard for about the same price. The keys are quite stiff and require a surprising amount of force when typing. They have a dimple, which is fine, but their edges are "square". So as you approach the "edge" of the key, there will be a noticeable sensation as your finger touches the edge of the adjacent key. . The keys are also a bit noisy. Some multimedia keys are set incorrectly. The key that should start the music player instead brings up a dialog to launch the program, as if I typed the Win + R key combination. This is probably because the keyboard is sending the wrong scancode for the intended function. This is a fairly significant design flaw. Don't you test your products before you sell them? You know, so are you sure they really do what you're talking about? Put the keyboard to sleep to save battery power. When using a wireless keyboard, I constantly move it one way or the other, relying on the power button to prevent accidentally pressing keys when I pick it up. The underside of the keyboard case is flat with no real 'edges', making it difficult to grip and likely to slip out of your hand when you pick it up. As it was relatively cheap I probably won't be returning it. That. It ends up in the basement, in the closet, or in the landfill, but I'll never use it. It's terrible and could be a lot better. Just 10 minutes of typing makes my fingers hurt. I think I asked about it and bought it from Revain on a whim. Keyboard buyers are strongly advised to look elsewhere. My other keyboard is an aging Logitech K270. I guess I'll just buy another one. This Macally keyboard is just useless to me.
