Wow, that's fun. in 3D printers

So yeah this is my first 3D printer. Although I have friends who have them I was a complete novice when I bought this. And it's still my only 3D printer, so I have no comparison. However I love it! Having read (a lot) before buying, I fully expected that it would be difficult or impossible to get good prints right away - no matter which printer I bought. Well, the Ender 3 Pro exceeded all expectations, that's for sure. Yes, my very first print (the cat model that Creality provides along with the printer on the SD card) didn't go 3/4 of the way, but that was my fault. I didn't tighten the Z-axis clutch screw all the way and it started slipping and I got 3/4 cat. But all my prints after that were really good - better quality than a lot of prints I've seen from people who have done this since make years. Ender 3 made it easy. Since then I've rewound 7 or 8 spools and am getting good print after print. It's too much fun. Fair warning to those who follow you: they will start updating. Sometimes for very good reasons (an automatic bed leveler is a godsend!), sometimes just to tinker and try something. I got consistently good prints with my Ender 3 Pro, but still. I added a full metal extruder. I printed covers for fans and for the control unit. I printed a side spool holder. I added a borosilicate glass bed. I then upgraded to the newer 32-bit "Silent" board 4.2.7. I'm in the process of upgrading to a BMG style direct drive extruder. Except for the BLTouch bed leveler, I could do without all of this and am very satisfied. But I love crafting - and Ender 3 makes it easy and fun. I've run tons of PLA with no issues, I've made a bunch of PETG and I really like the extra stiffness and I have TPU flex filament along the way. Did I mention it's really fun? I think this is a great printer for those who are starting and going. Probably the best value for money currently. So if you'll excuse me, I have more fingerprints.
