Review on πŸ’§ Flexzilla Pro Water Hose 5/8 in. x 100 ft: Lightweight & Heavy Duty, Reusable Fittings, Drinking Water Safe by Samuel Groove

Lightweight and almost no kinks

I refrained from posting about this hose until I've used it for a while and this summer has been a good test. Let me stress that I am not a professional lawn/landscaper and am using this for my own home. And this hose has performed well on my many grass seed lawn projects over the past 3 months. First, this hose is so light compared to the old apex house I replaced. You no longer have to lug the hose across the lawn as this hose is so easy to carry, roll up and use on my portable hose reel. Secondly, this hose takes some getting used to handling as it is rigid under pressure and will 'fold over'. in a way that conventional hoses don't have. An example of this is that when the hose nozzle is pressurized and unwound from the hose container, it often ends up in the wrong position for watering. So when I flip the nozzle to change its position, the hose itself rotates in such a fluid motion. . And as soon as the hose starts to rotate, the nozzle rotates sharply with it. So I learned to take my hand off the nozzle and twist it and twist the hose instead. There's nothing wrong with that, it just takes some getting used to. Third, because this hose is very light and is much easier to reel into the manual hose basket under water pressure than any other hose I've had...even with the Flexzilla stretched to the full 100 feet. Fourth, my hose is not leaking anywhere. I hooked it up to a hose reservoir that kept leaking along with my old hose. Mine also doesn't drip at all when connected to the spray hose nozzle. My main reason for buying this Flexzilla Pro over the regular Flexzilla garden hose is that I can secure the hose with the end repair feature. And one of the main reasons I wanted to use Flexzilla is their anti-kink claim. Your disclaimer states that this hose will not kink under pressure, but that has NOT been my 100% experience. It will kink under pressure, especially when the hose is pulled to any length BUT all I have to do to get rid of the kink, even at longer lengths, is pull and twist the hose a few times and the Kink eventually pops out. Only once did I have to lower the hose and go to the kink to untangle it. And since this happened all the time with my old hose, I'm very happy with this feature. So I would describe this hose as 98-99% pressure kink free. But overall I'm very happy with it. In terms of winter storage, I live in a country with heavy snowfall, so this hose is deflated/stored internally for the winter. By the way, a word on the seller....based on the reviews I paid a little more to buy this hose from eToolsDirect. . I can't say enough good things about this deal with them as I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday 3 days later!
