I have been using this cleaner for about a year and have tried different uses. It has a very "thin" consistency that makes it difficult to work with as it will run off your hands as you bring them to your face. (I wash my face in the shower) Some have used it in a foam bottle, which I have. I've just used an old bottle of Bath and Body Works and it works great, but I was just being stupid and felt like I wasn't getting the 'clean' form of this cleanser. i know i'm weird It cleans well and you need a moisturizer or your face will get dry. But I wanted a good scrub that you can't really do on your own. So here's my tip that took this cleanser to a whole other level. Use coffee grounds as an exfoliant. Keep a small container of ground coffee (I sometimes use ground espresso as it's finer, but that's up to you and your preference). Pour a small amount of the ground powder onto your hand, then squeeze a little detergent on top and mix. It also helps prevent the liquid from dripping off your hands when you bring it to your face as it will now be mixed into the ground coffee. My face looks SO clean after using this method and the coffee is good for your skin and helps boost your collagen levels so win. Then I apply hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and moisturizer. (By the way, don't forget to clean your ear cup afterwards) Are you lazy like me and hate washing your face at night to remove your makeup? you know who you are I made some homemade wipes with this cleanser and other ingredients that are good for your skin. I keep them in my room next to my bed so before I lay down I can grab one, wipe my face really good, then put on some retinol cream and you're done! Do a little research on what's good for your skin. I've tried many different recipes and finally settled on one that I love and will share with you if you take that laziness a step further and just want the recipe. :-) Recipe for homemade facial cleansing wipes and makeup remover (I use seventh generation baby wipes for this, but you can use thick paper towels or even cut diaper towels, but of course you have to wash them all the time and consider that I'm too lazy? I have tissues in the tissue warmer at the moment and a warm tissue is so nice, just add purified water to the pile regularly as it dries out a bit). 2-3 cups of purified water 2 tbsp. Vegetable or olive oil 1 teaspoon witch hazel 3 tablespoons of this cleanser OR liquid castile soap 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil 20-25 drops of frankincense or lavender essential oil (don't use tea tree oil as it's already in the cleanser if you're using it) Think Remember, this is my personal favorite recipe that works for me. I don't always add all the ingredients if I don't have them on hand. I'm just sharing this so you can start your own recipe if you're interested. Hope this helps you!
