I've used this once and it seemed to speed things up, but it's not a miracle solution that saves dinner because the meat is still frozen. My dad is a scientist, and after a little research it seems all of these types of foods would work just as well in the defrosting department. Kinds of deli bowls, this one is pretty good. It's not thin. It's big enough to fit medium sized food trays, it's thin enough, it's easy to store, it's easy to clean. I also like the drip tray. If you want to get into the science experiment of pallet defrosting, this is a pretty good choice.
