I love wooden swings. They're easy to sit on and more comfortable than U-shaped swings that hurt the sides. I had this swing in the summer of 2019 and loved it. However, when I brought it in for the winter, I noticed how it became weatherproof. I kept it upside down on a sliding platform when not in use to keep it safe. Obviously it didn't work. Now that we are staying home and doing projects, my husband has renovated it. He glued it all together as the wood came apart. He reworked the wood and repainted it and then covered it with some kind of glossy finish to give it extra protection. I'm sorry this swing was so poorly made originally, I hope we can enjoy it longer now that it's been refurbished! I wouldn't recommend this unless you're good with projects like this and can't fix it yourself. Kai Rosenthal
