I have suffered from sun-induced herpes for several years. This is the only product that has completely protected my lips! I enjoy relaxing on sunny beaches a few times a year and thought I had to stop or at least never see the sun on my face again. I am infinitely grateful that this product exists! It turns white but melts quickly, mostly becoming transparent and long lasting even under water. I still wear it a lot when I'm out in the sun just to be on the safe side. The formula melts a bit in the applicator when heated so you can't use it like a regular roll-on applicator, but I love it so much it's the least of my worries!
