I have had 5 camera NVR systems over the past 15 years and Reolink offers the best picture quality and feature set I have ever had. Motion detection is simply a frame-by-frame pixel comparison, so shadows and changes in lighting trigger a motion event. I've seen other systems available with IR triggers and motion triggers, but other key features don't match Reolink. The app works great on my phone and email notifications send a very clear picture of the triggering events. I'm very happy with the product and don't think you can improve it without spending a lot more money.
