This throw is just amazing. It sticks together very quickly, the lumps are very hard. When a cat pees at night, the lumps I find in the morning are rock hard. My cat pees on its side and I've had no issues with clumps sticking to the sides or bottom of the box. My cat pees in every litter box, but she's very picky about her stools. Too deep, next to the box. Not deep enough? Next to the box. At first I filled the box up to three inches but it seems like it was too deep even though it was the depth of clay. I trimmed it down to just under two inches and a poop-friendly boom. I use coarse grit, which may be a little smaller than clean cats who can poke, but much lighter and less dusty. I haven't had major tracking issues, but I do have a silicone mat under the box and it sits on top of a very large textured mat. I haven't tried flushing as my building is over 100 years old and has had problems with exhaust pipes over the years and I don't want to risk causing new problems.
