cool light as it floats, but very weak. There is no way to make it lighter or darker. The bulb is really good, I don't know how to replace it when it burns out. The base is made of wood-like material and has an integrated wireless charger. This is a good desktop item. If you don't expect bright light, you'll love it. The quality is good and appears to be well made and will last a long time, time will tell.
