But I got on with it. I sealed my area, I did the incredibly shallow depth that it allows (only 1/8 inch) and. I made a terrible mess. It leaked everywhere. Most likely it's my fault so don't blame the slime. Then I resealed and repeated and messed up some more until it seemed to harden in the gaps. and then more and more filled. After about a week with very little "layer" effort, I removed the sealer. The rim is more gum than candy. It is sweet. BUT, apart from being too dark, everything was fine. I have my result. I took pictures and enjoyed its beauty. I put my sculpture on the shelf and. in about a week. watched it drain completely. He lost about 65% of his height.
