Knives have a pleasant weight and are comfortable to hold. For those who aren't professional chefs, I find them a lot spicier than the ones I have now, which is quite an upgrade. Only time will tell if they really are up to date, but so far I'm very happy with them. On the other hand, the knife roll left a lot to be desired, you could tell that it was made somewhat haphazardly, threads that were not quite finished, scraps of thread and cloth covered the roll, which still stood even after vigorous shaking clung to it. Most puzzling was that one of the Velcro sewn on didn't even fit together (there's no fuzzy part that matches the Velcro) so it couldn't even hold together. I ended up not buying it for a knife roll, but for knives. So overall I'm still very satisfied. I hope this is fair information for anyone interested in the knife reel variant.
