I bought an iPad years ago to learn Procreate. I've only drawn with a 1st generation Apple Pencil and my 2018 iPad for many years, but it always felt like I was missing something that a real pencil gave me. Everyone said buy a weird scratchy screen protector but I didn't want the screen to go dark. Then I saw an ad for art consulting. Not wanting to spend a lot of money to try something I didn't know would help, I chose them. I can say they work. Sometimes I have trouble with the accuracy of the pencil tip position, but mostly it improves my control when drawing. I can sketch and not worry about the tip falling off and feel the friction that I was missing. It helps a lot with word formation.
