Intermittent communication with battery

box. It appears to be made from the same material as the Fujifilm X-T2. The remote control function definitely comes in handy for shots that require stability. The only downside is that the handle doesn't interact well with batteries. I've tried using third-party and original Fujifilm batteries, but they don't register on the screen when using the grip. It doesn't show the battery level and after a few clicks it recognizes that the battery is low. I had already contacted Meike directly and they were kind enough to send me another shot directly from the main office in Zhong Guo, but the replacement product worked just as well. They investigated the problem and sent me another grip from a different production batch and it still worked the same way. I tested on two identical Fujifilm X-T2 camera bodies purchased in the US and Japan. Used 7 Fujifilm NP-126S batteries and 5 Wasabi Power batteries. The results were intermittent and worked great at times, but still showed the same intermittent battery detection. I lost contact with the Meike International staff and haven't received any support since. I'm happy with how the grips have worked for me since the Fujifilm X-T1, X-Pro2 came out; but this one just turned my expectations of the experience upside down. I would definitely like my money back but I don't think they will refund it as it has been two months since the first order was placed. any camp.

Pros
  • 2 pcs. NP-W126/NP-W126S lithium batteries can be inserted into the handle for longer recording
Cons
  • Large and bulky
