I received the kit to dye my favorite hoodie which had mysterious bruises on it and for that purpose did it work fine But I went for a bigger and more expensive set with more colors hoping to be able to color more things. Lots of colors to choose from, great! But on this sweatshirt I completely used up three colors and really needed more to get enough color. It's okay, it worked. But you will see that the color didn't take both sides and I needed more. I used three bottles but could easily use six (two of each color). When the paint was first applied it was very light. Washed off after 14 hours (made in the evening and left overnight), I washed it myself on gentle cycle, dried cool, and there was definitely some fading, but it's still very nice, and overall I'm happy with it satisfied with the result. I plan to use the leftovers to dye baby bodysuits, which is probably perfect for dye bottles this size. Also, the instructions say the powder comes in bottles and you just add water, but that's not true. The paint comes in bags that tear easily.
