This bedspread was soft and cozy. It was lightweight and good for summer or over a duvet in winter. The look was stylish, elegant and unisex. (The bedspreads often look pretty feminine, and the other half doesn't want the bedroom to be too girly). My dad said it makes the spare room look like a hotel room, so if that's what you want. I think you could create a cozy vibe by adding some throw pillows and the right furniture. I actually replaced this throw with a white lush pleated throw because while it's more feminine, it also adds just the right amount of rustic charm to our guest room. However, I will be purchasing this double duvet for our second twin bedroom. With cozier furniture in this room and lighter colors I think it will really create a cute looking room that both kids and adults can use. Anyway, it looked and felt great on the bed. It was surprisingly very soft and fluffy, I wanted to keep it for our main bed but our colors are different so it doesn't match. So I put them in the second guest room. It should be noted that it was quite wrinkled and needed washing or ironing/steaming to smooth out the creases, FYI.
