Impressed. I've been running for 6-7 years now. Unfortunately, when I started out as a teenager, I was stubborn (and broke) and only walked in Converse (yes, scared). I learned the hard way that running shoes make a difference after getting a shin splint. Fast forward a few years and I've started running more often, happy I dropped a novice 15 years ago, but lately my left ankle has started to crack and occasionally hurt. I didn't think I had weak ankles, but I knew I had supination (underpronation) because my sneakers and casual shoes were always very worn on the sides. But since my shoes were worn properly (forefoot and heel) I decided I was doing everything right. Well, the pops hurt from time to time, which was unusual for me, and even though I took a break from running for two weeks, the pops continued like I was an old woman who gets up first thing in the morning. I mean, I've always had noisy joints, but I've never broken my ankle that bad! along this street. I started wearing a first class bandage within a week, walking more carefully and no longer flexing my ankles like I usually do when sitting or playing. I've become more aware of ankle rotation and foot position and don't overdo ankle flexion. The clicking noises have been greatly reduced and my foot no longer hurts. But I also thought about my sneakers and didn't want to combine the bandage with them. He gets wet and rough and he's really fat. Most suitable for normal shoes and household clothes. So I searched Amazon for one to wear while running and bought this brace thinking it wouldn't do much but wow! I didn't think it would offer much support as it didn't feel tight after putting it on, but my ankle didn't make any unnatural movements while wearing it. When I ran, my ankle stayed nice and straight. and I was so amazed at the difference in feel and form that I was tempted to pin another just to try and correct my supination. Stay single and stay tuned with the new ankle strengthening exercises I'm working on. I also invested in Nike Pegasus 34 shoes in hopes that my efforts would prevent further injuries in the future. Then why did I deduct a star? Well first of all it smells like plastic and I've washed them before and it still smells but not so much that I can smell it from afar. I think only a few centimetres. I don't like it, but I'll live. This will probably go away after a while. Second, the fabric REALLY itch if applied incorrectly. In fact, if you can't see the wrapper, you'll end up with an itchy, prickly spot or irritation elsewhere. I really recommend wearing a sock underneath. It's perfectly comfortable with a sock (assuming it's a little thin - regular thickness). Overall a great bargain - wonderful to wear to the gym - and stays on foot as I've also worn it during HIIT. It also soaked up a shock in my heel as I noticed that my corseted left leg seemed more comfortable and stable than my uncorseted right. Very happy! Good that there were two in the kit: I can wash one and wear the other or use both at the same time!
