These are direct replacement clips for original Shure mic clips that came with original lavalier microphones. They attach to the cable just below the microphone. You will receive 2 pieces in a plastic bubble card type packaging. As far as quality goes, they have the same problem as the original - the part that attaches to the microphone cable breaks easily. We have 4 units that are used a little less than once a week. About once a year we have to replace 1 or 2 of them. Although they are a bit expensive, the consumption in this situation is not large, so we continue to buy branded clips.
