Works well with soft crayons

I love drawing on this paper. I draw realistic animals with colored pencils and as long as I use the right brands of pencils (Prismacolor, Derwent Coloursoft and Polychromos are the ones that work best for me) I get everything I expected. Stonehenge is a fairly soft, fine-toothed paper, so hard pencil marks don't seem to fit well on it. Several natural colors are available. Black looks good in portraits of animals and birds, and you don't need to paint much in shadows and darkness. The tawny color gives your drawing a nice warmth. I would recommend this paper to any colored pencil artist, who loves the traditional look with layers and paper showing underneath. not me
