Review on 🔧 Bessey BVVB Vise with Vacuum Base by Michael Schafer

I live in San Francisco so I don't have a garage to work on projects, everything is done in my living room. As a result, I don't have room for a large table to drill holes in, so I looked for a vacuum vise to use in various locations on my small workbench. I read reviews and watched YouTube videos where people were disappointed. with vise suction power. Saying it loses suction after a minute and in every video I see people don't force pull the vise. Just give it a little nudge to show it's secured. When I received it I was so surprised. For this money I am very satisfied. When I pin it to my desk it goes nowhere. I pull it in different directions and this kid gets stuck. It loses suction after 5 minutes, but I reduce this by releasing the vacuum each time I apply force/torque to a held object. I used this to hold parts when I upgraded my 3D printer and I am completely happy with these visas. Great for small projects. PS The material quality is very good. It doesn't feel cheap at all (I thought the round collar looked cheap in the photos, but it's solid metal). The rubber caps on the ends of the handles are nice to the touch, and the rubber caps on the vise jaws are handy for holding plastic parts without damaging them. They don't fall off easily, unlike the other clamp vise I bought here. PPS Forgot to mention the jaw adjustment knob turns very smoothly unlike my other vises. Tightening/loosening the vise jaws is very easy with just one finger.
