Retaining hooks are not rigid enough to hold some face masks snugly

I bought this set of extension hooks for behind-the-ear face shields for my kids. By adjusting the length of the straps (knots at the appropriate point from the center of each strap) and hooking into the extension hooks, I was able to customize the fit of the masks to my face without applying too much pressure. behind the ears. Delivery took much longer than other products shipped from China that I have purchased. This extension works acceptably well with typical medical procedure or surgical masks that use behind-the-ear straps because the straps are elastic and don't pull too much on the extension. Hook. However, in my experience, this doesn't work well with other types of cloth masks with behind-the-ear straps that aren't flexible enough and end up bending the hooks forward because their plastic material isn't stiff enough. The curved hooks can make the mask pop out of your face easily. Regardless of the type or material of a face mask or N95 respirator, achieving the best possible fit to the face is a critical requirement for maximum protection from and from others. on the sides and bridge of the nose (rather than the tip of the nose as is often shown in the news), which requires a tight-fitting mask. Otherwise, this could explain why systematic reviews of the medical literature in 2012 and 2017, and a clinical study in 2019 *didn't* find that N95 respirators were better at preventing influenza virus transmission than surgical masks.
